I have always held a fascination for wildlife and nature since growing up in the Northamptonshire countryside where I spent much of my childhood exploring the fields and lanes with my father. He introduced me to the delights of the seasons and many hours were spent together searching for wildlife and birds with binoculars in tow.

Leaving the countryside to seek my fortune at the age of 18,I embarked on my first taste of urban life as I headed to Luton where I trained to be a nurse.By the time I was 22, the bright lights of London beckoned and a new career move. Finishing university in 1994, with a degree in Education, I began a new life as a Primary School Teacher. I stayed in education for 28 years and moved up the leadership ladder, spending some of that time as Head and Deputy Headteacher, but it was teaching in the classroom that made me the happiest.

In order to follow my passion,I made the bold decision to quit teaching in December 2018 and focus full time on my photography. I exhibit and sell at various craft fairs and events throughout the East Midlands and have converted the spare room at home to a gallery and studio.

Being a concerned conservationist and nature lover, a percentage of all sales from my photography is donated to support the following charities: RSPB, RSPCA, WWF, The National Trust, Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire Wildlife Trust, Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
